Job summary

DR.KAMAKSHI MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PVT. LTD., (Inst. Code - 381) CHENNAI is seeking a Radiotherapist to operate radiotherapy equipment, assist in planning treatment, and ensure accurate delivery for each patient. The role requires meticulous technique and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will coordinate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists, maintain records, and support quality assurance activities while upholding patient confidentiality and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. / Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a hospital / Radiation Oncology department.
• Good knowledge of radiation safety practices and radiotherapy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and handle radiotherapy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of radiation treatment as per the prescribed treatment plan.
• Position and immobilize patients accurately for radiation therapy.
• Verify patient identity, treatment site, and prescribed treatment parameters before each session.
• Perform daily machine and treatment area checks as per departmental protocols.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and patient documentation.
• Monitor patients during treatment and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the Radiation Oncologist.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and other healthcare professionals for smooth treatment delivery.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and safe handling of radiotherapy equipment.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and departmental audits.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate patient care.

Education
