Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Radiology Technician to operate diagnostic imaging equipment and assist radiologists and physicians in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images. The candidate will be responsible for performing radiological procedures safely, maintaining patient comfort and safety, and ensuring proper handling and documentation of imaging studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT Scan, MRI, and other imaging procedures as per qualification and hospital requirements.
  • Prepare patients for radiological examinations and explain procedures clearly.
  • Position patients correctly to obtain accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate and handle radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all radiation safety and protection protocols.
  • Ensure appropriate use of protective equipment such as lead aprons and radiation shields.
  • Assist radiologists and other doctors during diagnostic and interventional procedures when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging reports, and examination documentation.
  • Verify patient identification and examination details before performing procedures.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and immediately report any complications or unusual symptoms.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of radiology equipment and examination rooms.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report technical problems to the concerned department.
  • Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.
  • Ensure proper storage, transfer, and availability of digital images and records.
  • Participate in emergency and after-hours duties as required by the hospital.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Radiology / Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (MRIT) / Radiography or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Relevant registration/licensing as required by applicable regulations.
  • Candidates with experience in a hospital or diagnostic Centre will be preferred
