Job summary

Sontara Organo Industries is hiring a Quality Control Chemist for its chemical manufacturing unit in Ambernath, Maharashtra. The role requires a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry with 1–5 years of QC experience.

You will perform GC analysis, calibrate lab instruments, prepare standard solutions and maintain QC records, while ensuring GMP/ISO compliance and coordinating with Production and QA teams.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry is required.
• 1–5 years of QC experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing.
• Experience with GC, Karl Fischer and titration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process samples and finished products using GC, Karl Fischer, titration and related methods.
• Calibrate and handle laboratory instruments.
• Prepare and standardise laboratory solutions.
• Maintain QC records, COAs and analytical reports.
• Follow GMP, ISO and safety procedures in the lab.
• Coordinate with Production and QA departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of the QC laboratory.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes.

WE ARE HIRING QC CHEMIST

Location: MIDC Chemical Zone, Ambernath West, Maharashtra

We are looking for a qualified and responsible Quality Control Chemist for our chemical manufacturing unit.

Qualification:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry

Experience:
1-5 years of experience in Quality Control within a chemical, pharmaceutical, API or specialty chemical manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products
• Handling and calibration of laboratory instruments
• GC analysis and interpretation of results
• Preparation and standardisation of laboratory solutions
• Maintaining QC records, logbooks, COAs and analytical reports
• Following GMP, ISO, safety and laboratory procedures
• Coordinating with Production and QA departments
• Maintaining cleanliness and proper upkeep of the QC laboratory

Preferred Skills

• Practical knowledge of Gas Chromatography
• Knowledge of wet chemical analysis and laboratory documentation
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO and chemical safety requirements
• Candidates residing near Ambernath, Badlapur, Ulhasnagar, Dombivli or Kalyan will be preferred

Salary: Based on qualification, experience and interview performance.
