Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, Materials Management or related discipline.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement or Materials Management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, packaging, engineering items, machinery and services.
• Identify, evaluate, develop and maintain reliable suppliers and strategic vendor relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, contracts and commercial conditions.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, supplier capacity and supply risks.
• Drive procurement cost reduction, value engineering, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Finance and Engineering teams to ensure material availability.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and monitor supplier performance with periodic reviews.
• Establish procurement KPIs, MIS reports, budgets and compliance with policies.

Job Summary

Nashik Metaldust Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and results-driven Purchase Head / Head Procurement to lead the companys procurement function. The role will be responsible for strategic sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, contract negotiation, inventory planning, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, consumables, engineering items, machinery, and services required for uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate should have strong procurement experience in metal, engineering, automotive components, foundry, or manufacturing industries, along with proven leadership, negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business and manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, consumables, packaging materials, engineering items, machinery, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers and strategic vendor relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, contracts, and commercial conditions to achieve optimum value.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, supplier capacity, and supply risks to support effective purchasing decisions.
• Drive procurement cost reduction, value engineering, alternate sourcing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Quality, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels by minimizing stock-outs, excess inventory, and obsolete materials.
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and service, and conduct periodic vendor reviews and audits.
• Establish and monitor procurement KPIs, MIS reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Ensure proper documentation, purchase records, contracts, supplier databases, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the purchase/procurement team and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualification & Experience

8 years & Above of relevant procurement/purchase experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a managerial/leadership role.
