Job summary

Zydus Lifesciences is seeking a qualified professional for the Process Development Lab in Ankleshwar. The role involves day-to-day experimental work for allocated products and optimizing existing plant processes for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.

The candidate will support OOS/OOT, deviations, market complaints, and re-processing where needed, while ensuring rigorous lab documentation and adherence to SOPs and GXP standards.

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemistry is required.
• 2–5 years in a Process Development/Lab role.
• Experience with OOS/OOT, deviations and market returns investigations.
• Ability to document results in lab notebooks and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day experimental work for allocated products.
• Optimize/develop existing plant processes for quality, efficiency, cost reduction.
• Support on-line plant troubleshooting.
• Assist in vendor qualification and trials of raw materials.
• Participate in technical investigations to identify root causes.
• Ensure SOPs, GXP standards, and lab safety are followed.

Profile -

Responsible for following day to day experimental work / activities for allocated products,

To optimize / develop existing plant commercial processes for better quality, better efficiency (yield improvement, cost reduction etc), safer, environmental and operation friendly processes.

To support OOS/OOT, Deviations, Market complain, Sales return investigations.

To develop suitable re-processing processes / re-works.

To support on-line plant trouble shooting.

To support new vendor qualifications / performance trials of raw materials.

To support Idea Innovation / Solvent improvement plans and Process Engineering Department.

To write experimental detail / observations / analytical results etc in laboratory note books. To prepare experimental summaries / reports / change proposals etc.

To interact with concern contact persons of required departments.

To participate in technical investigations discussions for route cause/s identification for allocated products.

Responsible to execute new ideas starting from lab to plant scale for allocated products.

Responsible to follow P D Lab related all SOPs.

Responsible to maintain all P D lab GXP practices and documents like Process files, Test requisition book, Sample log book, SOPs file/s, Equipment log books, etc.

Responsible for plant process audit/s.

Responsible to maintain routine lab Safety, Housekeeping & GXP standards of lab.
