Neuro Physiotherapist Job Description (JD)

A Neuro Physiotherapist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders affecting movement, balance, coordination, and function.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients with neurological conditions such as:
  • Stroke
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Parkinson disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
  • Cerebral palsy and other neuro disorders
• Develop individualized neuro-rehabilitation treatment plans
  • Based on patient assessment and diagnosis
  • Goal-oriented functional recovery programs
• Provide physiotherapy interventions, including:
  • Balance and gait training
  • Strength and coordination exercises
  • Motor relearning techniques
  • Functional mobility training (walking, transfers, ADLs)
• Use advanced neuro-rehabilitation techniques
  • Neuro-developmental techniques (NDT)
  • Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF)
  • Electrical stimulation (if required)
  • Robotic / assistive rehabilitation devices (in some centers)
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans regularly
