Job summary

Sahyadri Super Specialty Hospital Hadapsar is seeking a Nutritionist to perform nutritional assessments for in-patients and out-patients and to develop individualized therapeutic diet plans based on diagnoses. Responsibilities

• Conduct nutritional assessments for in-patients and out-patients.
• Prepare individualized therapeutic diet plans based on diagnosis and nutritional requirements.
• Provide diet counselling and nutrition education to patients and their families.
• Monitor patients' nutritional status and modify diet plans as required.
• Coordinate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in enteral nutrition and other specialized nutritional requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nutritional assessments, diet plans and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with the food service/kitchen team to ensure correct preparation and delivery of prescribed diets.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Participate in nutrition awareness programs, health camps and patient education activities.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement, audits and other assigned activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Nutrition & Dietetics, Food & Nutrition, or a relevant qualification.
• Candidates with experience in a hospital/clinical setting will be preferred.
• Good patient counselling and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Knowledge of nutritional assessment, diet planning and patient follow-up.
• Candidates with internship or relevant clinical exposure may also be considered.
• Willingness to work in a hospital environment and follow organizational protocols.
• Good interpersonal skills, professional attitude and patient-centric approach.
