Job summary

Hangerspace Interior Solutions invites applications for an ArtCAM Designer to create CNC-ready designs and 2D/3D models. You will develop toolpaths and production drawings for interior materials such as wood, MDF, and plywood, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

Role requires strong ArtCAM and CNC knowledge, plus the ability to convert concepts into precise digital designs and coordinate with production teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
• Strong knowledge of ArtCAM software and CNC programming.
• Experience with 2D & 3D designs and reading technical drawings.
• Familiarity with DXF, STL, NC and CNC file formats.
• Understanding of wood, MDF, plywood and interior manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D designs using ArtCAM based on customer and production requirements.
• Prepare CNC-ready files, toolpaths, and machining programs for production.
• Develop detailed designs for wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic, and other interior materials.
• Convert drawings and concepts into accurate digital designs.
• Generate and modify DXF, STL, NC, and other CNC formats.
• Prepare nesting layouts to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with production and CNC operators to resolve design issues.
• Maintain records of drawings, CNC files, revisions and approvals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled ArtCAM Designer who can create accurate CNC-ready designs, 2D/3D models, toolpaths, and production drawings using ArtCAM software. The candidate should have good knowledge of CNC machining and be able to coordinate with the production team to ensure designs are executed accurately.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Create 2D and 3D designs using ArtCAM software based on customer and production requirements.
2. Prepare CNC-ready files, toolpaths, and machining programs for production.
3. Develop detailed designs for wood, MDF, plywood, acrylic, and other interior/furniture materials.
4. Convert drawings, sketches, and concepts into accurate digital designs.
5. Generate and modify DXF, STL, NC, and other required CNC file formats.
6. Prepare nesting layouts to optimize material utilization and minimize wastage.
7. Select appropriate cutting tools, machining parameters, depth, speed, and feed settings based on the material and job requirements.
8. Check dimensions, measurements, and design accuracy before releasing files for production.
9. Coordinate with the production and CNC machine operators to resolve design and machining issues.
10. Modify designs and toolpaths based on production feedback and site requirements.
11. Maintain proper records of drawings, CNC files, revisions, and approved designs.
12. Ensure all designs follow company standards, production specifications, and quality requirements.
13. Troubleshoot basic CNC programming and design-related issues.
14. Support the production team in achieving accuracy, quality, and timely completion of jobs.
15. Maintain confidentiality of company designs, drawings, and project-related information.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of ArtCAM software
• Knowledge of CNC machining and CNC programming
• Good understanding of 2D & 3D design
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/CorelDRAW will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of DXF, STL, NC and CNC file formats
• Understanding of wood, MDF, plywood and interior manufacturing processes
• Good knowledge of measurements and technical drawings
• Good problem-solving and coordination skills
• Ability to work according to production deadlines

Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Interior Design, or a relevant technical field.
