Galaxy Digital Inc. in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned data engineer to join our real-time analytics team, building a cloud-native platform powered by kdb+ and AI-driven insights.

You will own ingestion stability, develop kdb+ modules, optimize queries across trading desks, and implement SRE tooling in AWS to keep 24x7 operations robust. The role requires 5+ years in kdb+/q development, AWS, and Python with PyKX; exposure to Databricks and Datadog a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of core kdb+/q development.
• Experience deploying and supporting large-scale kdb+ platforms, preferably in AWS.
• Hands-on with kdb Insights, including microservices and UDAs.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes services in AWS.
• Development experience using Python data processing libraries and PyKX.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join and help grow Galaxy’s data engineering team in Mumbai at the start of building a next-gen, real-time, cloud-native analytics platform which is powered by kdb+ technology and AI-driven analytics. You will be working in a collaborative startup-like environment with data assets that span digital and traditional finance products, services and markets.

• Build and support kdb Insights (or KDB-X) modules, packages and pipelines processing billions of real-time messages daily
• Develop performant queries and functions to support business activities across various trading desks
• Build SRE tools focusing on proactive detection of performance bottlenecks across the platform’s core q, Python and Java processes running 24x7 in AWS

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of core kdb+/q development
• Practical experience in developing, deploying and supporting large-scale kdb+ platforms, preferably in AWS
• Hands‑on experience with kdb Insights, including advanced usage of microservices and development of packages, pipelines and UDAs (user-defined analytics)
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes services in AWS
• Development experience using Python data processing libraries and PyKX

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to building Datadog dashboards with kdb metrics
• Experience with integrating kdb+ with enterprise lakehouses, specifically Databricks
• Experience using AI coding agents in development, testing, release and SRE lifecycles
• Experience in working with crypto products, markets and data
