Responsibilities

• Develop and execute asset management strategies to ensure sound management and risk mitigation across the global CRE debt portfolio.
• Oversee performance of all CRE debt assets, monitor loan performance, covenants, capex tracking, and portfolio management workstreams.
• Leverage portfolio analytics to support decision-making and identify trends.
• Coordinate debt and equity funding requests and liaise with lenders, borrowers, and monitors.
• Ensure clear communication with borrowers, sponsors, lenders, servicers, and other parties.
• Coordinate with lenders and lawyers on loan restructurings, waivers, and related requests.
• Provide portfolio-level due diligence and performance updates in a timely manner.
• Work with Brio AM global team to maintain industry-standard loan documentation and compliance.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for credit, market, and operational risk.
• Prepare and present portfolio updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Job Summary

• Develop and execute asset management strategies to ensure sound management and risk mitigation across the global commercial real estate debt portfolio
• In collaboration with Senior Management within Brio, oversee the performance of all commercial real estate debt assets . To include assisting with monitoring loan performance, covenant compliance, capex tracking , IPD waterfall analysis, redemptions, prepayments, disposals, asset-level business plans, lease-up progress, borrower financials, quarterly loan reviews and on-going portfolio management workstreams
• Leverage portfolio-wide analytics to support strategic decision-making and identify emerging trends
• Managing the coordination and thorough review of both debt and equity funding requests promptly, and liaising with project monitors, borrowers and lenders with regard to drawdowns and calculating lender splits, if required
• Orchestrate clear, consistent communication and expectation-setting across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Borrowers, Sponsors, syndicate/participant Lenders, Servicers, and other counterparties
• Coordinating with lenders, borrowers and their respective lawyers in respect to loan redemptions, restructuring, amendments, waivers and other ad hoc requests
• Provide competent analysis of a portfolio of loans and underlying security on a quarterly basis, including re-underwriting, performance assessment, risk identification, and preparation of findings for internal presentation
• Take a hands-on approach to responding to requests for portfolio level due diligence and performance updates in a timely manner
• Work with the Brio AM global team to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and maintain a deep understanding of loan documents, including covenants, terms, and legal requirements
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and supports effective asset management and risk mitigation
• Problem solving when issues arise at the loan or portfolio level and proactively manage credit risk, market risk, and operational risk within the portfolio, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies with Brio AM team
• Assist in preparing and presenting portfolio updates, performance reports, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
• Participate in onboarding and integration of new technology solutions to enhance portfolio monitoring and analytics
• Establish best practices, processes, and policies for loan monitoring and reporting
