Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai seeks a Vmware vSphere Administrator/Engineer (L3) to design, deploy, and operate VMware Cloud Foundation environments alongside traditional vSphere stacks. You will build and manage vSphere clusters, vSAN storage, and NSX networking, ensuring high availability and performance.

The role requires hands-on experience with VMware technologies, scripting, and readiness to work in a 24x7 environment in a production-grade setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments alongside traditional vSphere stacks (vCenter, ESXi).
• Build and maintain vSphere clusters, vSAN storage, and NSX networking, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerCLI or other scripts; IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible are a plus.
• Troubleshoot complex virtualization issues and provide client-facing updates.

Requirement and skills-

_Required experience_

- *36 years* handson with VMware technologies (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi).

- Solid grasp of *VCF architecture* and its components (SDDC Manager, workload domains, NSX).

- Familiarity with *compute, storage, and networking* concepts in virtualized data centers.

- Exposure to *hybrid cloud* integrations (e.g., VMware on AWS, Azure VMware Solution) is desirable.
