Job summary

Abate AS is seeking a skilled vitreoretinal surgeon to diagnose and manage retinal and vitreous disorders, and to perform complex vitreoretinal surgeries. You will contribute to clinical examinations, pre- and post-operative care, and collaborative work with ophthalmology and OT staff.

You will explain diagnoses and treatment options to patients and families, maintain meticulous records, and engage in ongoing clinical discussions and training within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing complex and emergency vitreoretinal cases.
• Expertise in vitreoretinal diagnosis and surgery.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills.
• Excellent patient communication and counselling.

• Diagnose and manage vitreoretinal diseases and conditions.

• Conduct detailed retinal examinations and investigations.
• Manage emergency retinal cases effectively.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.

• Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
• Work closely with ophthalmologists, OT staff, and other healthcare teams.
• Follow hospital protocols, clinical standards, and patient safety practices.
• Participate in clinical discussions, training, and academic activities.
