Job summary

Machli is seeking a hands-on Visual Designer to shape the brand across Instagram, website, packaging, and retail visuals. You will translate product shoots into dynamic, scroll-stopping creative with the in-house studio, ensuring the coastal, playful vibe stays on-brand.

The role emphasizes design for fashion/jewellery in a D2C setting, strong typography and color sense, and fluency in Figma and Adobe tools. On-site in Ahmedabad with potential hybrid after an initial period.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years designing for a fashion, beauty, jewellery or lifestyle brand (D2C is a plus).
• Typography, layout and colour sense to make us look distinct.
• Fluent in Figma and Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator; InDesign is a bonus).
• You use AI tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, Higgsfield, Magnific or ChatGPT in your everyday work, and you know how to make AI output look on-brand.
• Basic motion skills (After Effects, CapCut or similar) for reels and stories.

Responsibilities

• Design Machli’s visual world: social posts, stories, reel covers, website banners, emailers and collection launches.
• Turn product shoots into scroll-stopping creative, working with the in-house studio on styling and art direction.
• Use AI tools to create moodboards, generate backgrounds and scenes, extend or retouch product shots, and produce ad variations quickly.
• Design packaging, inserts, tags and in-store visuals for retail.
• Keep the brand consistent: coastal, playful and never too polished.
• Work with marketing on ads that perform without losing the vibe.

Machli makes anti-tarnish, skin-safe jewellery for the girl who forgets to take it off. She swims in it, showers in it, and runs late to dinner in it. Our pieces are made to stay on, and so is our look: sun-bleached, salty and a little bit unbothered.

The role

We’re looking for someone to shape how Machli looks everywhere it shows up: Instagram, the website, packaging, the box that lands at her door, and the store shelf. You’ll make everyday jewellery feel like a holiday.

What you’ll do

You might be a fit if

• You have [2–4] years designing for a fashion, beauty, jewellery or lifestyle brand (D2C is a plus)
• Your typography, layout and colour sense is strong enough to make us a little jealous
• You’re fluent in Figma and Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator; InDesign is a bonus)
• You use AI tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Photoshop Generative Fill, Higgsfield, Magnific or ChatGPT in your everyday work, and you know how to make AI output look on-brand rather than generic
• You have basic motion skills (After Effects, CapCut or similar) for reels and stories
• You notice when an earring is shot from the wrong angle

How we work

This role is on-site at our Ahmedabad office.

Note: The first 3 months are fully on-site so you can get to know the brand, the team and the studio. After that, we’re open to discussing a hybrid arrangement.
