Requirements
Years of Experience: 8 – 12 years
Degree Strongly Preferred: Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform effort estimation and critical resource estimates and track actuals.
• Identify, escalate & track risks/dependencies (technology, capability, 3rd party, hardware, input docs).
• Evaluate the validation testing scope.
• Gather TGR and TGW from similar projects and apply across teams.
• Identify validation escape points providing preventive corrective actions.
• Adhere to release process.
• Create common test procedures/test scripts for reuse across programs.
• Improve PR/testing effectiveness.
• Understand vehicle system behavior and correlate requirements/defects to in-vehicle scenarios.
• Identify gaps in TP/test scripts based on validation metrics analysis and provide improvements.
• Conduct or participate in defect triage meetings and demonstrate issues to requirements & development teams.
• Understand customer requirements (SPSS) / SRD documents and perform functional testing of Driver Information ECUs.
• Update test scripts and work towards automation.
• Develop test procedures for new feature requirements.
• Perform functional black box testing of instrument cluster features.
• Share knowledge with the team on features worked.
• Use tools for testing, defects management, configuration management.
• Work collaboratively within the team to deliver test scripts, procedures / test execution reports as planned.
• Perform testing of products in an iterative, agile software lifecycle.
• Recreate issues reported by customers and debug CAN logs.

Desired Competencies/Experience

• Good functional black box testing knowledge on automotive infotainment features (Tuner, Media, Bluetooth, Navigation) and driver information.
• Mandatory knowledge on scripting (Winwrap or CAPL).
• Good knowledge of network tools – Vector CANoE / CANalyzer, test simulation, measurement and trace debugging.
• Knowledge of protocols – communication (CAN, LIN) and diagnostics protocol (GGDS, UDS).
• Understanding of software life cycle phases (CMM/CMMi) and methodologies (Agile, V Model).
• Knowledge of processes and ability to demonstrate deployment in projects worked.
• Knowledge of requirement management tools (Team Centre, Doors).
• Familiarity with tools for configuration management, defects management, peer reviews of requirements and test procedures.
• Involvement in test case design for requirements and development of manual/automated test procedures.
