Job summary

Cortex Consultants LLC is seeking a Virtualization Engineer to join our enterprise team in a hybrid role across Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, or Hyderabad.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of hands-on experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere, Nutanix, Cisco UCS/Nexus, and related storage/backups, and are capable of troubleshooting, incident management via ServiceNow, and ensuring SLA compliance.

Strong communication and customer support skills are essential, and immediate joiners are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in virtualization engineering.
• Proficient with VMware ESXi/vSphere and related tooling.
• Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix, VxRail) and Cisco UCS/Nexus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and support enterprise virtualization environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, and virtualization issues.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and changes via ServiceNow.
• Ensure SLA compliance with timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with customers, NOC teams, and engineering teams.
• Perform system maintenance, testing, and implementation support.
• Document technical solutions and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Support on‑call operations and work in rotational shifts.
• Drive continuous process improvements and operational excellence.
