Job summary

CtrlS Datacenters is seeking an L1 XenServer Engineer to join the Infrastructure operations team in Hyderabad. You will monitor enterprise XenServer infrastructure, provide first-level troubleshooting, and handle incidents within defined SLAs.

The role requires working with XenServer/XenCenter, xe CLI, and Linux troubleshooting basics. Responsibilities include executing standard VM and host operations per SOPs, documenting tickets, and escalating complex issues with logs to L2/L3 teams.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of XenServer/XenCenter with practical Linux troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing L1 troubleshooting and addressing incidents within defined SLAs.
• Ability to execute standard VM/host operations as per SOPs/MOPs and document tickets.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1 operational support for XenServer infrastructure (hosts, resource pools, VMs, storage, networking).
• Monitor systems, identify issues, troubleshoot CPU, RAM, storage and VM problems, and resolve incidents.
• Perform routine VM/host operations per SOPs and ensure accurate ticket documentation and handovers.
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 with complete logs and troubleshooting context.
• Maintain basic XenServer/XenCenter and Linux knowledge; assist in knowledge sharing.

We are hiring XenServer L1 Engineers to join our Infrastructure operations team.

• Responsible for monitoring and providing L1 operational support for enterprise XenServer infrastructure, including hosts, resource pools, VMs, storage and networking.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting of CPU, memory, storage, network and VM-related issues and resolve incidents within defined SLAs.
• Execute standard VM and host operational activities as per approved SOPs/MOPs and ensure accurate ticket documentation and shift handovers.
• Identify recurring or complex issues and escalate them to L2/L3 teams with complete troubleshooting details and relevant logs.
• Strong understanding of XenServer/XenCenter, basic xe CLI and Linux troubleshooting is expected.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with Nutanix and Citrix VDI/CVAD will be an added advantage.
