Keywords Studios in India is seeking a dedicated QA Tester to join our in-office team. You will play pre-release and live games, search for bugs, and report them to help developers improve quality before release.

Ideal candidates are avid gamers with strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently within a team, including shift timings on project needs. This is an in-office position at Keywords India Studio.

Qualifications

• Avid gamer with strong play skills.
• Attention to detail and strong critical thinking.

• 0–6 months QA testing experience.
• Willingness to work in an in-office, shift-based environment.
• ISTQB or testing course is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review game design and requirements documents and develop test plans.

• Collaborate with production and product teams to prioritize issues.
• Execute and update test cases as instructed and within timelines.
• Identify and report functionality bugs with clear steps to reproduce.
• Maintain bug databases with accurate information.

Behind every great game is a team powering the quest. Keywords Studios partners with the world's leading game developers to create, test, and support incredible gaming experiences for players everywhere. We are looking for game testers to help us fulfill that quest, and we can do it together!

You will be searching for bugs by playing pre-release and live op's video games on all current platforms. Then you will report and regress all bugs found to assist game developers to help them improve the quality of their product before it is released to the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Review game design and requirements documents and develop test plans
• Test and report issues using JIRA, an issue tracking system used by the company
• Work with the production team on prioritizing the issues
• Work closely with product team and designers to understand requirements for quality assurance
• Work independently with minimum guidance
• Video game enthusiast with a knack for finding bugs
• Work as member of team assigned to a project for testing a specific game
• Execute and update Test cases assigned as per instructions and timelines
• Identify and report functionality bugs
• Write all bugs in conformance to internal standards and project specific requirements
• Update all bug databases with accurate and complete information
• Complete all tasks assigned, as per instructions and timelines
• Work closely with other team-members to share, discuss and clarify issues essential to effective execution of project
• Perform all tasks in strict compliance to Information security policy and quality standards
• Identify and help implement opportunities for improvement in security, quality and process controls

Requirements

• Qualified B.Tech / B.E. / Any Graduation (only if a gamer)
• Testing Course / ISTQB would be added advantage
