Job summary

KUKU is seeking an experienced Tamil-language Video Editor who can craft promos and episodic edits that engage Tamil-speaking audiences, focusing on drama, emotion, and high-impact storytelling.

You will edit promos, show highlights, and campaigns, collaborate with writers and producers, maintain audio-visual quality, and deliver multiple edits under tight deadlines across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on video editing experience in entertainment or digital platforms.
• Strong command of Tamil language, culture, and audience preferences.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and creative Video Editor who knows Tamil language and understands how content connects with Tamil-speaking audiences.

This role is for someone who enjoys working with drama, emotion, and high-impact storytelling and knows how to transform powerful show moments into compelling promos and episodic edits that hold viewer attention.

Your edits will shape promos, show highlights, episodic cuts, and special campaigns designed to captivate Tamil audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit high-impact promos, show cuts, episode highlights, and special segments for Tamil content.

• Create strong emotional hooks within the first few seconds using pacing, music, sound design, and visual storytelling.

• Adapt key story moments into concise, engaging promo edits while preserving narrative clarity and emotional depth.

• Ensure edits meet platform standards in terms of audio levels, format, duration, and visual quality.

• Collaborate closely with promo writers, creative producers, and programming teams to ensure edits align with campaign objectives.

• Maintain high visual and audio polish with attention to rhythm, dramatic build-up, and impactful transitions.

• Deliver multiple edits efficiently while managing parallel timelines and strict deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

• 3-6 years of hands‑on video editing experience in regional entertainment, production houses, or digital content platforms.

• Strong understanding of Tamil language, culture, and audience preferences.

• Proven experience editing fiction, non‑fiction, reality, or drama‑based content.

• Strong command over tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.

• Excellent sense of storytelling, pacing, emotional build, and promo structure.

• Understanding of content workflows, delivery formats, and technical specifications.

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while maintaining creative quality.
