Job summary

House of Makeup is a premium clean beauty brand seeking a creative and passionate Video Editor to craft high-quality social media content. The role involves producing Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form videos with a premium aesthetic.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience editing beauty or lifestyle content, proficiency in Premiere Pro / After Effects / Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve, and a strong eye for storytelling and motion graphics. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in video editing for social media content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong storytelling, motion graphics, transitions and sound design skills.
• Experience editing beauty, fashion, lifestyle or influencer content preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Edit 3040 short-form videos per month (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and long-form content).
• Transform influencer content and raw footage into engaging, brand-aligned videos.
• Add trending music, transitions, captions, sound effects, and motion graphics.
• Independently edit videos using raw footage and stock assets with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a premium visual style aligned with the brand's clean and elevated aesthetic.
• Design attractive thumbnails for video content.
• Shoot basic videos using an iPhone or camera with good framing, lighting and angles.
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams on campaigns and storytelling.
• Optimize and resize videos for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Stay updated with latest trends and editing techniques.

• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams on campaign-based and storytelling-driven content.

• Stay updated with the latest social media trends, editing techniques, and viral content formats.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in video editing for social media content.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, motion graphics, transitions, and sound design.
• Experience editing beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or influencer content is preferred.
