Job summary

So Pastel, a social-first growth agency in Bangalore, is hiring a Video Editor to cut reels and video ads for client brands. You will edit Instagram reels, YouTube Shorts, and short ads weekly, building hooks in the first 2 seconds and matching beat for pacing.

You'll collaborate with social, design and account teams from brief to final export, delivering multiple edits per day with eye for colour, captions, and on-screen text.

Qualifications

• 1+ years editing short-form video for brands, an agency or creators.
• Showreel or reels you've edited that we can watch.

So Pastel is a social-first growth agency in Bangalore. We build brands for D2C and consumer companies, and we're hiring a Video Editor to cut the reels and video ads for our client brands.

What you'll do

• Edit Instagram reels, YouTube Shorts and short video ads for several client brands every week
• Make the first 2 seconds count: build hooks that stop people scrolling
• Keep the pacing tight, cut to the beat, and hold people to the end
• Add clean captions and on-screen text, sound design and simple motion graphics
• Turn one shoot into many pieces: cut-downs, 6-second ad versions and formats for each platform
• Work with our social, design and account teams from brief to final export, and turn feedback around quickly

What we're looking for

• 1+ years editing short-form video for brands, an agency or creators
• A showreel or reels you've edited that we can watch
• Fluent in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut or CapCut; After Effects is a plus
• A good ear for music and timing, and an eye for colour and type
• Fast and organised: you can ship several edits a day without dropping quality

Nice to have

• Motion graphics, basic colour grading, and comfort using AI tools for footage, voice or cleanup
