Job summary

Iris Software in India is seeking a seasoned Technology Leader with a strong foundation in engineering delivery and technology leadership to drive multi-account programs and high-resilience platforms.

The role emphasizes partnering with CXOs, building high-performing teams, modern engineering practices, and pursuing AI, data engineering, and cloud initiatives across global clients.

Qualifications

• ~20–25 years of experience in technology and engineering delivery roles within IT services/product organizations
• Past leadership experience managing large teams (75–150 people) over the last 5–7 years
• Experience in leading globally distributed engineering teams
• Deep understanding of IT services ecosystem, engagement models and client delivery frameworks
• Ability to partner with sales, practice and account delivery teams
• Experience in leading multiple small–mid sized distributed teams and programs across geographies

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering of platforms and solutions for multiple complex technology programs
• Mentor teams and leaders across Solutioning, Engineering and Delivery
• Work with CXOs, MDs and senior stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and inputs
• Build and scale high-performing engineering teams
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and technologies including AI, Data Engineering and Cloud
• Ensure best practices across software engineering, DevOps, SRE and agile methodologies
• Oversee solution scoping, estimation, design, architecture governance and implementation quality
• Contribute to pre-sales, solutioning and client engagements within IT services

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Technology Leaderwith a strong foundation in engineering delivery, solutioning and technology leadership, not purely delivery operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across modern technology landscapes, strong platform thinking and a proven track record of driving multiple concurrent complex programs across accounts while engaging with senior stakeholders.Past engineering experience with platforms requiring high resilience, security and scale and experience in the financial services context (banks and capital market firms) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering of platforms and solutionsfor multiple complex technology programs across domains, aligned to defined business and technology outcomes
• Mentor teams and leaders across Solutioning, Engineering and Delivery.
• Work closely with CXOs, MDs and senior stakeholders, providing strategic guidance, initiative scoping, estimation, structuring and solutioning inputs and taking accountability for outcomes
• Build and scale high-performing engineering teams, fostering innovation and delivery excellence
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and technologiesincluding AI, Data Engineering, and Cloud platforms
• Ensure best practices across software engineering, DevOps, SRE and agile methodologies
• Oversee solution scoping, estimation, design, architecture governance, and implementation quality
• Contribute to pre-sales, solutioning, and client engagementswithin the IT services ecosystem

Key Requirements

• ~20–25 years of experience in technology and engineering delivery roleswithin IT services/product organizations with the past 5-7 years in leadership roles managing teams of 75-150 people
• Experience in leading globally distributed engineering teams
• Strong experience in engineering-led delivery(not delivery operations management)
• Deep understanding of IT services ecosystem, engagement models, and client delivery frameworks
• Ability to partner effectively with sales, practice and account delivery teams
• Ability to deliver engagements in partnership with client/multi-vendor PODs
• Ability to advise, influence and partner (and be accountable to) with MD/ CXO level senior stakeholders on technology strategy and execution
• Strong expertise in leading teams delivering initiatives in some or more of:
• Full-stack applications
• Services/API based solutions
• AI / ML and emerging technologies
• Modernization
• Solid grounding in architecture, microservices, and scalable system design
• Experience in driving scope, estimation, execution approach and dependency management aligned with problem and tech context
• Experience in leading multiple small – mid sized, distributed teams, programs and global delivery programsacross geographies, client and other vendor teams
• Strong business outcome orientation
