Key Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Define and execute a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business strategy and market demands.
- Determine organization needs and identify system specifications.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CTO in driving technology-led growth and digital innovation.
- Translate emerging technologies into competitive business capabilities.
- Oversee development and implementation of assigned programs and guide teammates.
Engineering Excellence & Platform Strategy
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance systems and platforms.
- Plan and design the structure of technology systems, discuss these with the client.
- Communicate system requirements to software designers and developers; explain system structure to them and provide assistance throughout the assembly process.
- Oversee the design and deployment of core fintech products, APIs, and data infrastructure.
- Establish best-in-class software development, DevOps, QA, and release management practices.
- Ensure silent operations while continuously reducing cost of IT operations for running the business
- Ensure IT infrastructure and application support to provide 24*7 business operations
- Produce progress reports, AI and ML exposures. Agentic AI understandings.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Champion a security-first culture; ensure infrastructure and applications meet or exceed industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to integrate regulatory requirements (KYC/AML, data privacy, etc.) into product design and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with business to incrementally improve IT landscape to meet business goals
- Application and infrastructure modernization
- Support and address issues identified during internal and external audits
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
- Attract, retain, and mentor top-tier engineering, data, and product talent.
- Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Scale global technology teams across geographies while maintaining velocity and cohesion.
- Work with team to devise plans for future IT requirements of the organization.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
- Drive R&D initiatives across AI/ML, blockchain, embedded finance, and intelligent automation where relevant.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that enhance competitive advantage or reduce operational risk.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Operations, Finance, and Business stakeholders to align technology investments with customer value and operational efficiency.
- Represent technology leadership in investor and partner engagements, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Business to deploy technology led/enabled innovative solutions
Professional Experience:
- 16+ years in software engineering and technology leadership roles, with at least 10 years at the executive level.
- Deep fintech domain experienceideally in payments, supply chain finance, banking, lending, digital assets, or related sectors.
- Proven experience scaling cloud-native, microservices-based platforms to enterprise-grade standards.
- Strong understanding of the technical architecture along with infra estimation planning based upon ongoing/future usage of system.
- Experience in working with relational database like Oracle, proficient in using SQL and migration process to Non RDBMS
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in system architecture, API-first design, real-time data processing, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and modern engineering practices.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, data governance, and compliance frameworks.
