Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. in Bengaluru, India seeks a Vice President – Reporting & Filings to lead offshore regulatory reporting for the India Center of Excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10+ years of regulatory reporting, regulatory filings, compliance and legal operations, or related regulatory functions.

• Experience with filing obligations such as Forms ADV, 13F, 13G, 13D, 13H, Section 16 filings, AIFMD reports.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, governance, controls, documentation standards, and submission processes.
• Experience leading offshore, shared services, center of excellence, or managed service teams.

Job Title

Vice President – Reporting & Filings

Legal & Compliance partners with Blackstone’s businesses globally to manage legal and regulatory risk and support disciplined, compliant execution. The Vice President – Reporting & Filings will be based in India and serve as the offshore reporting and filings operations leader within Blackstone’s India Center of Excellence. Reporting within the Legal & Compliance function, this role is responsible for building, managing, and overseeing the delivery of regulatory, investment, fund, corporate, and specialized filing activities in support of Blackstone's global Legal & Compliance stakeholders. The role will partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure regulatory obligations are executed accurately, timely, and in accordance with applicable requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and accountability for reporting and filing activities delivered through the India Center of Excellence in support of global Legal & Compliance stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a team of offshore third-party reporting and filings professionals responsible for preparing, coordinating, reviewing, submitting, and tracking regulatory, investment, fund, corporate, and specialized filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee filing programs including investment disclosures, fund regulatory filings, public company reporting support, ownership reporting, and other jurisdiction-specific obligations.
• Establish and maintain global filing calendars, obligation inventories, submission schedules, procedures, and controls to ensure timely and accurate regulatory compliance.
• Partner with Compliance, Legal, Finance, outside counsel, and business stakeholders to coordinate data gathering, review processes, approvals, and filing submissions.
• Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and quality of regulatory information submitted to regulators.
• Serve as the primary offshore liaison for reporting and filing operations, aligning on priorities, capacity, service expectations, and execution timelines.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks, service level expectations, performance metrics, escalation mechanisms, and management reporting for reporting and filing activities.
• Monitor filing deadlines, emerging requirements, recurring obligations, and execution risks, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including process standardization, workflow optimization, automation opportunities, reporting enhancements, and operating model improvements.
• Ensure strong controls, documentation standards, record retention practices, and audit readiness across all reporting and filing activities.
• Partner closely with global stakeholders across time zones and support business needs outside of regular business hours as required.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's degree 10+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, regulatory filings, compliance and legal operations, fund administration, legal operations, financial reporting support, or related regulatory compliance functions.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex regulatory, fund, investment, or corporate filing obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience supporting the preparation, review, coordination, and submission of regulatory filings, including Forms ADV, 13F, 13G, 13D, 13H, Section 16 filings, AIFMD filings (e.g., Article 23 and 24 reports), and other fund regulatory filings.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements, filing governance, controls, documentation standards, and submission processes.
• Experience leading teams in offshore, shared services, center of excellence, or managed service environments.
• Proven experience developing and implementing operating procedures, controls, quality assurance frameworks, and service delivery metrics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating activities across Legal, Compliance, Finance, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience establishing governance frameworks, performance metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours with overlap with US and EMEA stakeholders.
• Preferred Experience supporting SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FCA, AIFMD, or other global regulatory filing obligations.
• Experience within private equity, alternative asset management, investment management, banking, or financial services.
• Experience leveraging workflow tools, data analytics, reporting technologies, automation solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve regulatory reporting processes.
