Job summary

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation is seeking a Vice President, Platform Product Owner to join our Market Infrastructure team in Pune. You will own the product backlog, define short- and near-term roadmaps, and work closely with stakeholders and the development team to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of platform products.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams.
• Manage backlog and near-term roadmap, ensuring refinement and grooming.
• Own user stories, refinement processes, and stakeholder updates.
• Write specs for minor features and contribute to major feature specs.
• Negotiate implementation, make trade-off decisions to launch high-quality products.
• Identify and triage issues across features and understand interdependencies.
• Define metrics and instrumentation to analyze post-release results.
• Partner with manager on recommendations for next feature steps.
• Assess UX quality and propose improvements to the user experience.

Were seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Platform Product owner to join our Market Infrastructure team within the Global Clearing Platform. This role is located in Pune

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Defining and prioritizing product backlog, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, and working closely with development team to ensure the successful delivery of the product.
• Managing the product backlog and near-term roadmap ensuring that it is properly refined, prioritized and groomed.
• Owning user stories, refinement process and Stakeholder Management (ongoing collaboration and updates)
• Writing specs for minor features and contribute meaningfully to specs for major features.
• Negotiating the implementation of current work, make the right trade-off decisions to launch products in a high-quality manner. Escalating to management as necessary.
• identifying and triaging issues with specific features, whilst understanding how multiple features are interrelated and catch more complex problems.
• Defining proper measurement and instrumentation for a product to analyze results post-release/launch.
• Partnering with manager to make recommendations on the right next steps for the feature.
• Assessing the quality of existing UX to make recommendations on how to improve user experience.
