Job summary

BNY is seeking an AI Implementation Analyst in Pune to drive hands-on AI/ML projects from concept to delivery. You will work with LLMs, design prompts, manage RAG workflows, and refine models to meet business needs.

The role requires 4+ years in AI/ML, strong fundamentals, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-evolving AI environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or related field; MBA advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years of practical AI/ML/Generative AI development experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs such as GPT, Llama, Claude, Mistral, Gemini or similar models.
• Strong fundamentals in ML, NLP, deep learning, model evaluation and Generative AI concepts.
• Ability to work independently and deliver with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Role Summary

We are seeking a motivated AI Implementation Analyst with 4+ years of hands‑on experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models. This role requires someone who can quickly understand business problems, build and refine AI solutions, and work independently with limited supervision. This role is located in PUNE.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Design, develop, test, and refine AI and Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
• Build, evaluate, and optimize prompts, RAG workflows, embeddings, and model outputs.
• Fine‑tune or adapt foundation models for specific business use cases where appropriate.
• Create AI pipelines covering data preparation, inference, evaluation, monitoring, and improvement.
• Work with business and technology teams to identify AI opportunities and convert them into scalable solutions.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concepts using emerging AI tools, frameworks, and model architectures.
• Apply responsible AI, governance, risk, and compliance requirements in solution design.
• Document reusable methods, technical approaches, and best practices for broader adoption.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. An additional qualification in Business Management (MBA or equivalent) is desirable and will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of practical experience in AI, ML, Data Science, or Generative AI development.
• Experience working with LLMs such as GPT, Llama, Claude, Mistral, Gemini, or similar models.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals, NLP, deep learning, model evaluation, and Generative AI concepts.
• Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and move from concept to delivery with limited handholding.

Technical Skills AI & Machine Learning:

• LLMs, prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, NLP, and text analytics.
• Model evaluation, benchmarking, monitoring, responsible AI, AI safety, and governance.
• Agentic AI, AI orchestration, and reusable AI workflow design.
• Python, SQL, Git, CI/CD practices, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI Services.
• Snowflake, vector databases such as Pinecone, Chroma, FAISS, or Weaviate; Azure, AWS, or GCP AI services.

Desired Competencies:

• Strong command of AI terminology, concepts, tools, and industry trends.
• Analytical problem‑solver with the ability to challenge assumptions and improve model outcomes through experimentation.
• Clear communicator who can explain AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Self‑driven, curious, execution‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑evolving AI environment.

What Success Looks Like:

Within the first 90 days, the individual should be able to:

• Contribute independently to AI model development, refinement, and evaluation.
• Deliver at least one practical LLM-based use case or proof‑of‑concept.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, and model performance improvement.
• Operate as a reliable AI practitioner who collaborates effectively with business and technology teams.
