Job summary

M&G India seeks a dynamic VP – Finance Platforms Application Support Lead to provide leadership and end-to-end ownership of Accounting Ledgers and Consolidation platforms, including Oracle Fusion Cloud, Tagetik, AutoRek, Infor SUN, and more.

You will partner with CFT Portfolio Leads and the Head of CFT Platforms to drive strategic tech solutions, ensure service resilience, audits, and continuous improvement across the Ledger, Consolidation, and Reconciliation spaces.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to take on the role of CFT Finance Platforms Application Support Lead. In this key position, you will provide leadership and oversight to our Accounting Ledgers and Consolidation platform support teams and responsible for end-to-end platform ownership, strategic direction, risk ownership, service resilience, external and internal system audits and business‑critical finance outcomes.

You will be instrumental in building strong partnerships with stakeholders and collaborating closely with the CFT senior management team to drive meaningful change and continuous service improvement aligned with our business strategy. Your role will also involve working with CFT Portfolio Leads and the Head of CFT Platforms to ensure seamless transitions into service under full governance, while playing a pivotal role in integrating CFT systems across the organization.

As VP – Finance Platforms Application Support Lead, the role will be accountable for:

• Leadership & Strategic Oversight
• Lead the CFT Finance Systems function, providing direction and oversight to support teams managing platforms such as Oracle Fusion Cloud (Fusion Financials & Procurement, EPM), Tagetik, AutoRek, Infor SUN, Broadridge Revport, Smartstream TLM, Docusign.
• Ensure teams are right‑sized and aligned with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) targets in collaboration with the Head of CFT Platforms.
• Drive the adoption of strategic technology solutions in partnership with CFT Portfolio Leads and the Head of CFT Platforms to maximize business value.
• Service Management & Operational Excellence
• Ensure high‑quality, consistent service and support to CFT stakeholders, meeting business demands and deadlines.
• Conduct regular service reviews with vendors and partners, ensuring KPIs are met and service levels maintained.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and audit trails in compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
• Process Automation & Efficiency
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Technology teams to identify, refine, and implement automated processes that enhance efficiency and add business value.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve systems, processes, reporting, and data analytics capabilities across the CFT Ledger and Reconciliation platforms.
• Governance, Controls & Compliance
• Ensure key processes and controls are fully documented, regularly tested, and supported with adequate coverage to guarantee system availability.
• Oversee regression testing and ensure platform functionality is maintained through patching and upgrade cycles.
• Work with external auditors to manage audit pipelines and respond to requests in a timely and compliant manner.
• Change Management & Continuous Improvement
• Lead system and process improvements, including upgrades to existing products, in collaboration with IT, security teams, and CFT stakeholders.
• Oversee the prioritization and intake process for development work across Ledger, Consolidation, and Reconciliation platforms.
• Ensure future developments are transitioned into service with appropriate team structures and support models in place.
• Development Lifecycle & Tooling
• Ensure adherence to M&G’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices across the platform.
• Promote the use of tools such as DevOps and JIRA for version control, requirement traceability, and segregation of duties.
• Subject Matter Expertise & Business Enablement
• Provide subject matter expertise to CFT portfolio programs to ensure delivery of fit-for-purpose business outcomes.
• Act as a key enabler for business transformation by aligning technology capabilities with strategic goals.
