Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Drive the evolution of Fluence edge-level software by implementing scalable solutions that are easy to install, configure, upgrade and troubleshoot.
• Architectural Vision: Leverage your deep understanding of contemporary edge and edge-to-cloud technologies to design a software architecture that aligns with commercial objectives while supporting strategic plans and near-term execution.
• Organizational Transformation: Lead organizational turnarounds and scale processes in fast-paced growth environments, focusing on customer satisfaction, high-quality deliverables, and a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Talent Development: Attract, develop, and retain top engineering talent through exceptional networking and engagement strategies. Unlock individuals potential while nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Performance Management: Guide the development of a high-performing engineering management team through coaching, mentorship, and resource allocation, cultivating a unified growth mindset across all engineering disciplines.

Key Experience Areas

• Energy Storage: Expertise in developing complex edge control systems for energy storage or other similar applications.
• Software Product Development: Expertise in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
• Agile Methodologies: Proficient in Agile methods, including Scrum.
• System Architecture & Design: Strong background in system architecture and embedded development strategies.
• Edge to Cloud Solutions: Experience in developing and implementing edge to cloud strategies.
• Technical Risk Management: Skilled in identifying and managing technical risks throughout the product lifecycle.
• Engineering Management: Proven track record in engineering management and product lifecycle management.
• Technologies: Familiarity with C++, Matlab Simulink, React, MQTT, Modbus and other OT protocols, database technologies and cloud solutions such as AWS.

• Experience: 10+ years in senior technology/engineering leadership roles within the software industry, with a proven track record of driving strategic change in complex global environments.
