Job summary

reputed company is seeking a Vice President of Actuarial Services to lead actuarial analysis, pricing design, and reserve evaluation across its insurance programs in India. The role requires FCAS/ACAS with strong P&C experience and a track record in leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The incumbent will drive pricing methodologies, feasibility studies, and regulatory filings while mentoring the actuarial team and partnering with finance and risk management to align strategy

Qualifications

  • FCAS designation or ACAS with substantial experience in P&C.
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
  • MAAA membership preferred.
  • 7–10 years actuarial experience in P&C.
  • Experience with captive and alternative insurance programs.
  • Leadership or people management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software (R, Python, SQL, Emblem) and BI tools.

Job description

The Vice President, Actuarial Services (FCAS required) is responsible for leading actuarial analysis, risk assessment, and data analysis across reputed companys insurance offerings, including programs reputed company through alternative insurance arrangements and other alternative risk transfer mechanisms. This position plays a key role in shaping actuarial pricing reputed company, guiding reserving practices, and supporting the development and reputed company of both traditional and captive-based insurance solutions. FCAS designation is required; however, ACAS candidates with significant Property & Casualty insurance experience may be considered.

The ideal candidate holds the Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) designation, or is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) with substantial relevant experience, and has deep experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance, with strong capabilities in experience analysis, assumption setting, actuarial loss modeling, and reserve evaluation.   • Serve as a subject matter expert for statutory reporting

Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • ACAS and FCAS designation required
  • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a reputed company quantitative discipline
  • MAAA membership preferred
  • Minimum 710 years of actuarial experience in P&C insurance, including pricing, reserving, or product development
  • Experience with captive and alternative insurance programs, including feasibility studies and premium allocation, strongly preferred
  • Leadership or people management experience preferred, with a demonstrated ability to mentor actuarial talent
  • In-depth knowledge of Workers Compensation products strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with state-level reputed company filings and insurance regulatory frameworks
  • Experience engaging with external consultants, auditors, and regulators
  • Advanced reputed company reputed company proficiency, including pivot tables, data modeling, and VBA/macros
  • Skilled in actuarial/statistical software such as reputed company, R, Python, SQL, or Emblem; experience with predictive modeling or machine learning is a plus
