Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop business cases to assess venture opportunities and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Support planning and budgeting through quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Develop economic models and business justifications.
• Analyze tradeoffs and input from manufacturing, logistics, and marketing.
• Assess competitiveness of proposed solutions from internal and external perspectives.
• Contribute to value chain analysis from producer to end user.
• Assist with scoping costs and schedule estimates for Global Projects.
• Coordinate gate package development and review.
• Support annual capital investments planning and reappraisals.
• Engage stakeholders and document the business basis for future updates.

What You Will Do

As directed by the Venture Executive or Venture Advisor, develops business cases to assess venture opportunities. Ensuring the project is aligned with the strategy of the business. May be assigned to one or more projects.

• Support Venture Executive or Planning Manager in conducting quantitative and qualitative business analysis in line with Project Objectives and Strategies
• Assess opportunities consistent with business strategies, plans and needs which might support a project
• Develop business case and economic model (business justification, economic analysis, etc.)
• Analyze tradeoffs and breakpoints of competing options and objectives. Obtain input from manufacturing, logistics, global projects, tax and marketing.
• Assess competitiveness of proposed solutions using internal and external perspectives
• Perform or provide input for value chain analysis from producer to end user
• Develop or provide input for supply / entry plans for new products or markets
• Coordinate the development of scoping costs and schedule estimates from Global Projects
• Coordinate development and review of Gate packages
• Support development of the annual capital investments plan/budget and reappraisals.
• Identify, engage & communicate with key stakeholders during project development thoroughly document business basis to create a baseline for future updates
• Interfaces with business lines and functional leads (technology, projects, commercial, etc.)

About You

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
• 10+ Years of Oil and Gas Experience including:
• Project Engineering and Execution
• Refining and Supply Technical positions (i.e. Process Eng, Coordination / Oil Movements)
• Refining and Supply Technical Management.
