Job summary

Syneos Health Hyderabad is seeking a Vendor/Tech/Life Sciences Counsel I to lead end-to-end contracting for clinical, commercial, corporate vendor agreements, including Licensing, SaaS, HR & staffing contracts, and data privacy related arrangements.

You will negotiate with vendor legal teams, advise internal clients, support cross-functional teams, draft and structure contracts, and contribute to policy improvements while maintaining deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• JD/LLM/LLB from an accredited university.
• Proven experience in a worldwide or international company.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and commercial laws in assigned region/country.

Job Responsibilities Core Responsibilities

Leads end to end contracting related to clinical, commercial, corporate vendor contracts for products and services including but not limited to reviewing and negotiating sophisticated service agreements, Licensing, SaaS, HR & staffing agreements and other contracts, including strategic alliances, data privacy related agreements as well as various issues escalated from the business units and internal departments. Frequently leads negotiations with vendor’s legal team. Responds to and advises on legal related requests and inquiries from business teams and drafts. Legal documents Strong communicator – is able to professionally handle emails, messages, and calls internally and with external vendors and clients. Partners with the business stakeholders to structure, negotiate and advise on contractual matters. Drives policy and process improvements. Partners with other departments including Procurement, Data Privacy, and Sourcing as required to support contracting matters. Advises, structures, drafts and negotiate all aspects of direct and indirect contracts and leads. Works collaboratively across the Legal department, including the Company’s global team of regional-based attorneys, to coordinate and drive completion of global contracts. Strong problem-solving skills. Is able to work autonomously and appropriately prioritize work and urgent requests. Liaise with other global legal members and other departments to provide responsive legal support. Trains internal employees and managements on various legal matters and increase awareness on legal, new hire orientations and consultations. Conducts legal research and analysis related to the company’s business.

Additional Qualifications

JD/LLM/LLB or an equivalent Degree from an accredited University. Fully Qualified lawyer. Proven experience in a worldwide company or an international company. Strong Knowledge and experience in a broad range of areas of law. Strong knowledge of contracts and commercial laws in assigned region/country. Ability to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach while identifying and balancing legal risks and providing succinct, accurate and pragmatic advice. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Outstanding relationship-building skills. Exceptional analytical skills, independent judgment, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and prioritize a wide variety of complex matters. Can-do attitude, able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and a high volume of contracts.
