Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Private Limited (DICV) seeks a Vehicle Mechatronics Specialist - HMI & Software Development to lead design, development, integration and validation of advanced HMI functions for commercial vehicle platforms.

You will work with global teams on ASAM, CGW, OTA/FOTA, and safety/cybersecurity compliance, driving quality and user-centric experiences across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in HMI development, ASAM software engineering, or related automotive domains.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Deep expertise in ASAM, CGW, and FOTA/OTA systems within automotive applications.
  • Strong knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive network management and diagnostics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi-project environment with tight timelines.
  • Prior experience with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles or a comparable automotive OEM is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, and validate HMI software functions for commercial vehicle platforms.
  • Develop and maintain software solutions related to Automotive Network Management, ASAM, CGW, and OTA/FOTA functionalities.
  • Contribute to intuitive and user-centric HMI features that enhance driver experience.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to define software requirements.
  • Perform software integration, debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Support functional safety concepts per ISO 26262.

  • Execute software verification and validation, including testing and calibration.
  • Support system architecture development and interface definition for HMI and vehicle networks.
  • Analyze field issues and feedback to drive product improvements.

At Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Private Limited (DICV), we are looking for a highly skilled Vehicle Mechatronics Specialist - HMI & Software Development to contribute to the development of next-generation vehicle Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems and connected software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and validating advanced HMI functionalities, Automotive Network Management solutions, and OTA/FOTA capabilities while ensuring compliance with functional safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
