Job summary

Magneti Marelli Parts & Services in Bengaluru/Gurugram is seeking an HMI Developer to join our embedded automotive team. You will work on development and testing of HMI in cluster projects, delivering real-time embedded solutions and ensuring compliance with customer specs.

You should have a BTech in CS or Electronics and strong C/C++ skills, with experience in Qt Lite/CGI/Kanzi and AUTOSAR practices. The role offers a hybrid work model and opportunities to influence instrument panel software

About the Position:

HMI Developer

This position is based at our office in Bangalore/Gurugram.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Responsible for Development & Testing activities of HMI in Cluster project.
• Self instructed realisation of complex embedded (real-time) designs development tasks including concept, implementation, review, integration, test and release in co-ordination with the respective superior.
• Execute development activities in compliance with customer requirements.
• Facilitate and actively participate in quality meetings to ensure compliance with standards and project objectives.
• Requirements analysis, design, development, integration and testing of development product.
• Ensure the functionality of Instrument panel cluster conforms to the customer specification by respecting the Software development process and methodology (CMMI/ASPICE).
• Apply AUTOSAR standards and methodologies in the development process.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing effective solutions.
• Strong knowledge of QML, C++, and C.

• B - Tech (Computer Science / Electronics ONLY)
• Strong programming skills in C++ and C.

Other skills that we would welcome:

• Knowledge of Automotive Embedded electronic Products, preferably Cluster (HMI Development with Qt lite/CGI/Kanzi).
• Good knowledge of RTOS Concepts (Concurrent Programming, multithreading Programming, IPC and kernel knowledge).
• Exposure to full Software development life cycle.
• Good knowledge of Qt Lite Architecture.
• Good experience in software debugging and usage of different debuggering / Testing tools to perform Unit / Integration / System Testing (e.g.: Lauter Bauchs / JTAG, Trace 32, Parasoft, CPPTest).
• Knowledge of Atlassian Tool Chain (JIRA, Confluence).
• Hands‑on experience with tools like CANoe / CANalyse, P-CAN.
• Good knowledge of ASPICE and CMM guidelines (process activities to maintain quality of documentation and documentation management).
• Working experience with Configuration Management tools (GIT) or similar tools.
