Job summary

Cloud Energy Software is seeking a Development Support professional to join a team that maintains applications in the UK utilities and billing space. You will support and develop software, debug issues, and deploy fixes while adhering to standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of VB.Net development, experience with Windows-based apps, SQL, XML and an understanding of financial processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of development experience in VB.Net.
• Experience in developing Windows-based applications using VB.Net and SQL Database.
• Good knowledge of XML and financial experience.
• Experience in Utilities billing and EDI is desirable.
• Strong fundamentals of software development concepts and .NET platform / APIs.

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Development Support professional to join our team. You will be supporting an existing set of applications in the UK utilities and billing space. It is a challenging opportunity that requires you to quickly grasp the energy and utilities domain while allowing you to showcase your efficiency, problem solving skills and ability to develop additional features on complex systems without causing downtimes or failures across related areas of system.

You will be responsible for maintaining these set of applications, debug issues, develop and deploy fixes as per standards.

Who you are:

• Minimum 3+ years of development experience in VB.Net

• Expertise in developing windows based applications using VB.Net and SQL Database.

• Good knowledge of XML and financial experience

• Experience in Utilities billing and EDI is desirable

• Have passion for solving problems, ability to comprehend issues in large complex system.

• Strong fundamental understanding of software development concepts and mainly .NET platform, APIs.
