Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Valuation Sr. Analyst to prepare complex market value appraisals on real estate assets.

You will join the Valuation function, inspecting assets and determining their values across land, property, and businesses, under the direction of senior staff. Your responsibilities include preparing and reviewing appraisal analyses, validating data with market participants, developing written market value reports, and presenting findings based on comparable sales and market

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in valuation
• Bachelor's degree preferred; in lieu, experience considered
• MAI designation and state licenses preferred
• Proficient with Excel/Word/Outlook
• Ability to analyze solutions using technical judgment
• Strong math skills for complex calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete analysis for real estate appraisal reports for review.
• Verify data and review discussions with market participants.
• Prepare and complete overview and research on simple appraisal assignments.
• Develop complete written market value reports with senior staff direction.
• Examine and review large income-producing properties; create and present reports based on market comparisons.
• Research the market area and report current transactions; compare to subject property.
• Utilize data from past revenue and expense performance to project stabilized operating statements.
• Apply standard principles to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.

About the Role:

As a CBRE Valuation Sr. Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing complex market value appraisals on real estate assets.

This job is part of the Valuation function. They are responsible for inspecting and determining the values of land, property, and businesses.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and complete analysis for real estate appraisal reports for review.
• Verify data and review discussions with market participants.
• Prepare and complete overview and research on simple appraisal assignments.
• Develop complete written market value reports with the direction of senior staff.
• Examine and review large income-producing properties. Create and present reports based on market comparisons.
• Research the market area and report current transactions and how they compare to the subject property. Compare based on sales of comparable properties.
• Utilize data from past revenue and expense performance to project stabilized operating statements.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• State certification/licenses required for Senior Appraiser. MAI designation preferred.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Moderate understanding of Argus software.
• Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
