Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation and characterization of complex SoC/IP subsystems.
• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and debug methodologies.
• Create and maintain validation frameworks, automation scripts, and test environments using Python and Embedded C.
• Validate ARM and/or DSP-based subsystems, including toolchain setup and execution flows.
• Debug hardware-software interactions and root-cause silicon, firmware, and system-level issues.
• Collaborate with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to resolve silicon issues.
• Analyze validation results and provide detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Take ownership of assigned IPs/subsystems and drive validation activities through milestones.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Digital SoC Validation Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in Post-Silicon Validation and SoC bring-up activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating complex SoCs, debugging system-level issues, and ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability across IPs and subsystems. The role requires strong programming skills, DSP/ARM validation experience, and the ability to independently own validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform post-silicon validation and characterization of complex SoC/IP subsystems.
• Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and debug methodologies to ensure functional correctness.
• Create and maintain validation frameworks, automation scripts, and test environments using Python and Embedded C.
• Validate ARM and/or DSP-based subsystems, including toolchain setup, compilation, and execution flows.
• Debug hardware-software interactions and root-cause silicon, firmware, and system-level issues.
• Work on DSP validation activities involving Xtensa architecture, TIE instructions, and VFPU instruction validation.
• Validate and verify audio processing algorithms and DSP building blocks such as FFT and related signal processing functions.
• Collaborate with design, verification, firmware, and software teams to resolve silicon issues and improve product quality.
• Analyze validation results and provide detailed technical reports and recommendations.
• Take ownership of assigned IPs/subsystems and drive validation activities through product milestones.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Digital SoC Post-Silicon Validation.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Post-Silicon Validation of SoCs, IPs, or subsystems.
• Proficiency in:
• Python
• Embedded C
• Experience validating:
• ARM-based processors/subsystems
• DSP-based architectures
• Understanding of:
• Xtensa toolchain and compilation flows
• TIE (Tensilica Instruction Extension) Instructions
• VFPU (Vector Floating Point Unit) Instructions
• Basic understanding of audio signal processing concepts and DSP algorithms, including:
• Experience with debugging tools, validation environments, and lab equipment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of embedded software development and firmware debugging.
• Familiarity with scripting and test automation frameworks.
• Experience in audio, multimedia, DSP, or AI/ML accelerator validation.
• Exposure to silicon bring-up and product qualification activities.
• Knowledge of hardware-software co-debugging techniques.
