Job summary

Cigmahealthcare in Kochi seeks Medical Coding Fresher (IPDRG). Life Science graduates with CPC/CCA certification and knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS are preferred. This is full-time, work-from-office, with a 2-year bond and direct interview at the company location.

You will assign codes to inpatient records, review documents, ensure timely coding for billing, and maintain compliance with coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Fresher, fresh Life Science graduates welcome.
• CPC/CCA Certification mandatory.
• Good knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT & HCPCS, medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to inpatient records based on physician documentation.
• Review and code all documents for inpatient encounters, including surgeries, tests and diagnoses.
• Apply codes that classify patient cases for reimbursement.
• Code records in a timely manner to meet billing cycles and hospital deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
