Job summary

Cigmahealthcare is hiring for an HCC coder to work on-site in Ambattur, Chennai. The role involves assigning ICD/CPT codes and ensuring accuracy and proper sequencing in line with regulations.

Freshers may apply; candidates with 6 months to 3 years of HCC coding experience and strong anatomy knowledge are preferred. The position is full-time with an emphasis on compliance and auditing of coded data.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 3 years of experience in HCC coding.
• Freshers can also apply.
• Certified or Non – Certified with any graduation.
• Excellent knowledge in Anatomy.
• Good knowledge of medical coding systems, medical terminologies, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts and principles.

Responsibilities

• Assign codes to diagnoses and procedures, using ICD (International Classification of Diseases) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes
• Ensure codes are accurate and sequenced correctly following government and insurance regulation
• Search for information in cases where the coding is complex or unusual
• Receive and review patient charts and documents for accuracy
• Review the previous day's batch of patient notes for evaluation and coding
• Ensure that all codes are current and active
