BioLegend, Inc. is seeking an UX Intern to support both UX design and UX research across product teams. You will engage with customers to derive insights and spread UX concepts within the company, while learning from a larger UX team.
You’ll contribute to design guidelines, develop prototypes, and collaboratively present findings to stakeholders. A curious, adaptive learner with strong English communication will thrive in this role.
About you:
You’re interested in working in both UX design and UX research. You’re a self-starter, driven to understand how and why people use technology so you can help create better ways of working for our users. You interject yourself into the conversation to ask questions that help others clarify any issues, assumptions, and risks. You can put people at ease and are easy to talk to. You are curious and want to help your team answer their toughest questions by learning from others and working together.
You will work across different product teams to provide insights derived from working with our customers. You will also engage in spreading UX concepts across the company alongside the larger UX team. You are passionate about participating in a UX driven culture and welcome new challenges.
What you’ll do:
Using the “OCEAN” model which stands for Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness and Neuroticism, we’re looking for the following personality traits.
Openness – The ability to take on new challenges and learn new things.
Conscientiousness – The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work.
Extraversion – The ability to communicate directly with customers and users, and to present your work clearly and effectively to different stakeholders as needed
Agreeableness – Be kind and thoughtful. We value people who are respectful of others and who are willing to jump in and help where and when needed.
Neuroticism – Although we try and minimize stress levels, there will be deadlines to meet. Plans can change, so the ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities will be important.
