United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Mid‑Level UX Engineer / Product Designer–Developer to bridge UX, design, and technology. You’ll translate user needs into journeys, wireframes, and prototypes, then implement them with clean HTML/CSS/JS and a modern framework.
You’ll work with Product and Engineering in an in‑person setup, composing reusable components, validating ideas, and contributing to design systems while maintaining accessibility and performance standards.
We’re looking for a Mid-Level UX Engineer / Product Designer–Developer who can bridge the gap between user experience, design, and technology.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for understanding user and business needs, designing intuitive digital experiences, and translating those designs into functional, high‑quality interfaces. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to take ideas from discovery and wireframes through prototyping, development, testing, and launch.
The ideal candidate combines strong UX thinking with hands‑on coding ability and understands how great design translates into scalable, maintainable products.
Understand user needs through research, interviews, usability testing, analytics, and stakeholder discussions.
Translate user and business requirements into user journeys, information architecture, flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
Design intuitive, accessible, and responsive web and/or mobile experiences.
Create high‑fidelity designs and interactive prototypes using tools such as Figma.
Identify usability issues and continuously improve product experiences based on research, feedback, and data.
Contribute to and maintain design systems, reusable components, and UX patterns.
Present design concepts and explain design decisions clearly to stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
Translate UX/UI designs into clean, responsive, production‑ready interfaces.
Build and maintain reusable front‑end components.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure consistency between design intent and technical implementation.
Develop interactive prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts to validate UX ideas quickly.
Understand technical constraints and use them to inform practical design decisions.
Review implemented experiences and identify gaps between design and final product.
Write clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code.
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, QA, and business stakeholders.
Participate in product discovery, planning, design reviews, sprint ceremonies, and retrospectives.
Balance user needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, performance, and delivery timelines.
Contribute to product decisions beyond visual design by bringing a strong user and technical perspective.
Help establish best practices for UX, front‑end implementation, accessibility, and design consistency.
3–5 years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, Front‑End Development, UX Engineering, or a closely related role.
Strong understanding of user‑centered design and UX methodologies.
Demonstrated experience with user flows, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
Strong proficiency with Figma or equivalent UX/UI design tools.
Hands‑on experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Experience with a modern front‑end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, interaction design, and cross‑browser compatibility.
Ability to convert Figma designs and UX concepts into functional interfaces.
Strong understanding of component‑based design and reusable UI patterns.
Experience working in agile, cross‑functional product teams.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Portfolio demonstrating both UX/design thinking and technical implementation.
Experience building or contributing to a design system.
Experience with React and TypeScript.
Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating front‑end applications with backend services.
Understanding of Git and modern development workflows.
Experience with product analytics, A/B testing, or experimentation.
Basic understanding of accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Familiarity with automated testing and front‑end performance optimization.
Experience working closely with engineers on production products.
Experience mentoring junior designers or developers.
