Job summary

Cadila Pharmaceuticals in India seeks a seasoned HVAC and Utilities Engineer to ensure cGMP compliance, plan and supervise daily activities, and oversee erection and commissioning of HVAC systems and related utilities.

The role focuses on operation and maintenance of bore well, RO, WFI, steam, and distribution systems; enforce documentation, preventive maintenance, energy optimization, vendor coordination, and training of staff; deliver regular reports to management.

Qualifications

• Ensure cGMP compliance and regulatory adherence.
• Plan daily work and manpower for HVAC erection and commissioning.
• Operate and maintain Bore Well, RO, MCDP, PW, WFI, PSG and utilities.
• Monitor water, steam, and distribution with internal/external coordination.
• Qualify and document all utility equipment per site requirements.
• Execute preventive maintenance to improve HVAC efficiency.
• Coordinate with vendors for installation and qualification timelines.
• Develop and enforce O&M procedures for HVAC and utilities.
• Minimize energy consumption without delaying production.
• Manage spares inventory with Purchasing.
• Improve HVAC performance via defect analysis and corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain cGMP-related documentation.
• Train downstream staff on operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and contractors to meet objectives.
• Provide regular senior management reports on issues and actions.
• Ensure effective cGMP implementation in the plant.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
• Maintain safety practices during operation and maintenance.
• Complete tasks within stipulated timelines.

Role & responsibilities:

1. 1. Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, Good Engineering Practices, and applicable statutory laws, rules, and regulations.
2. 2. Plan and manage daily work activities and manpower, ensuring timely execution, erection, and commissioning of all HVAC systems and related utilities.
3. 3. Operation and maintenance activities for Bore Well, RO system, MCDP, PW, WFI, PSG, and other supporting utilities.
4. 4. Monitoring and maintaining records of water consumption, steam generation, and distribution systems with effective coordination between internal engineering teams, production departments, and external contractors to ensure efficient and timely operations.
5. 5. Ensure qualification and documentation of all utility equipment are completed as per regulatory and site requirements.
6. 6. Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs effectively to improve the efficiency and reliability of HVAC systems and utilities.
7. 7. Coordinate with vendors to ensure installation, qualification, and related utility activities are completed within defined timelines.
8. 8. Ensure the development, implementation, and adherence to procedures related to operation and maintenance of HVAC and utility systems.
9. 9. Minimize power and energy consumption without impacting production schedules; work closely with the project department for smooth handover and transition of new systems and projects.
10. 10. Ensure inventory management of spares in close coordination with the Purchase department.
11. 11. Streamline HVAC system performance through defect analysis and corrective actions.
12. 12. Prepare, implement, and maintain all cGMP-related documentation and relevant records.
13. 13. Train downstream staff on proper operation, maintenance, and project execution as per defined requirements.
14. 14. Coordinate with internal engineering, production teams, and external contractors to achieve objectives in an efficient and timely manner.
15. 15. Provide regular reporting to senior management on critical issues arising during operations and updates on corrective and preventive actions.
