Job summary

XQwave Pvt Ltd (Formerly Obsidian Solutions Pvt Ltd) in Bangalore is seeking a Senior SW Engineer with 6–9 years of experience to design and develop verification tools for PCIe products (Switchtec/Flashtec). You will contribute across definition, design, implementation, verification and troubleshooting.

You will work with FW teams, integrate components, and support customer issues, using C/C++, Python, and scripting, with Linux drivers and PCIe/NVMe knowledge, in a collaborative, fast-paced

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and development of tools to support verification of PCIe products (Switchtec/Flashtec).
• Participate in detailed design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Firmware Development, Firmware verification, Validation, and Chiplink teams to design solutions and develop tools.
• Integrate software components into a functional system.
• Support and resolve customer issues with Application team.

Job description

Seeking 6-to-9-year experience as a SW Developer to work on tools development. Candidate should have strong knowledge and experience with all aspects of Software development – including Definition, Design, Implementation, Verification, and Troubleshooting. As a Software Engineer, based in Bangalore, and reporting to the manager of Firmware Development, you will be part of the Firmware development team.

About the Role

As a Senior engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Design and development of the utility tool and CLI tools to support the verification of PCIe products (Switchtec/Flashtec)
• Participate in detailed design and code reviews of implementations by team
• Work in collaboration with other teams like FW development, FW verification, Validation and Chiplink team to design solutions and develop tools to verify new feature support or enhance the tool
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Work closely with Application team to support and resolve customer issues
• Work in collaboration with other Microchip sites to design solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in C and C++ development
• Hands-on experience in Python programming
• Good knowledge on Perl, shell and other scripting tools
• The candidate must have knowledge of Linux drivers
• Knowledge in storage protocol (i.e. NVMe) and PCIe protocol
• Familiar with GIT, Jenkins, and related tools
• Good understanding of communication protocols, like I2C, SPI, UART
• Hands-on experience in implementing multi-threaded applications
• Must be a good team player and act as per the project needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill
• Strong interpersonal skills
