US Payroll Associate
About the Role
We are looking for a Payroll Associate to join our team and support the end-to-end payroll operations for U.S.-based businesses. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, an interest in U.S. payroll and taxation, and the ability to work accurately within defined timelines.
You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and relevant government agencies to ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with applicable U.S. federal, state, and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing payroll for U.S.-based employees on weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and other employee information.
- Support payroll tax filings and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Respond to client and employee queries related to payroll, taxes, deductions, and related matters.
- Reconcile payroll reports and identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll data, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
- Coordinate and communicate with state agencies and the IRS regarding payroll filings, notices, compliance requirements, and audits.
- Support benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll documentation and records.
- Stay updated on relevant payroll and compliance requirements and support the team in implementing necessary changes.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–6 years of experience in payroll, accounting, taxation, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Willingness to learn U.S. payroll processes, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets is preferred.
Location: Gachibowli, Hyderabad
Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST
Work Week: 5 days a week
Compensation: As per market standards
