Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated US Tax, Accounting and Audit Associate to join our tax compliance team in Bhopal. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing US federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations.

US Accounting, Tax & Audit – Key Responsibilities

• Handle US bookkeeping, GL, AP, AR, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and support month-end/year-end closing.
• Prepare/review US tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S.
• Prepare tax workpapers, book-to-tax reconciliations, and federal/state filings.
• Perform audit planning, workpaper preparation, and PBC management.
• Conduct testing of Cash, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Revenue, Expenses, Payroll, Debt, and Equity.
• Perform substantive, compliance, and internal control testing.
• Coordinate with US clients/CPAs for documents, queries, and engagement completion.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and US accounting, tax, and audit standards.
• Experience with QuickBooks, CCH, Lacerte, Drake, or similar software preferred.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• CA Qualified / CA Inter / Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• Good understanding of US Accounting, Taxation, Audit, US GAAP, and IRS guidelines.
• Knowledge of US tax software such as Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH Axcess, or similar.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively during peak seasons.
• Relevant experience in US Accounting, Tax, or Audit preferred; qualified freshers can also apply.
