Job summary

Dainik Jobs Placement is seeking a Production Head for our chemicals division in India. The role focuses on planning, execution, and continuous improvement across production, safety, and reliability to meet monthly targets and budgets.

You will lead a high-performance team, drive efficiency, manage costs, ensure EHS compliance, and uphold quality within IMS standards while coordinating with maintenance and other functions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 18–20 years experience in production leadership in chemical industry.
• Experience in handling hazardous chemicals and EHS standards.
• Strong cost control, efficiency, and process improvement capability.

Responsibilities

• Plan monthly production targets and optimize plant throughput.
• Control raw material and utility costs; drive cost reductions.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Ensure EHS compliance and safe handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain IMS quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping and environmental compliance across plant.
• Build and lead a high-performance production team.

Job description

• 1. Production Planning Ensure achievement of monthly production targets (Bromine & FES) as per plan and budget Drive optimal capacity utilization and improve plant throughput Monitor and control production losses, yield, and efficiency metrics

• 2. Cost & Efficiency Management Ensure raw material and utility consumption within budgeted norms Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives beyond planned savings Improve process efficiency, yield, and energy optimization

• 3. Plant Operations & Reliability Ensure minimum downtime through strong coordination with maintenance teams Oversee smooth functioning of continuous process operations Strengthen process discipline and operational controls

• 4. Safety, Health & Environment (EHS) Ensure strict adherence to EHS standards and statutory compliance Drive a culture of zero accidents and zero incidents Implement and monitor Process Safety Management (PSM) practices Ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals (Bromine, Chlorine, Sulphur Di-oxide, etc.)

• 5. Quality & Compliance Ensure zero non-conformities (NCs) during IMS and internal audits (including F&A-relatedproduction controls) Maintain compliance with IMS standards and regulatory requirements Ensure adherence to quality standards and process specifications

• 6. Housekeeping & Sustainability Maintain high standards of housekeeping across plant and utilities including ETP Ensure effective effluent treatment and environmental compliance

• 7. Team Leadership & Development Build and lead a high-performance production team Drive training, skill development, and succession planning Instill a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement
