Job summary

Samnan Chemicals is seeking a Trainee/Intern for upstream fermentation tasks at our Dombivli site. The role involves media preparation, aseptic transfers, and operating bench-scale fermenters while monitoring critical parameters.

The candidate will collect samples, assist with DoE-driven runs and optimization studies, and maintain records with strict attention to HSE guidelines. Fresh graduates with relevant MSc/MTech backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• M.Tech or M.Sc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
• Fresher.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media and inoculum; sterilize (autoclaving, SIP/CIP) and aseptic transfers.
• Operate bench-scale glass fermenters; monitor pH, DO, temperature, and agitation in real time.
• Collect in-process samples and prepare for analytical testing.
• Support fermentation troubleshooting, DoE-driven runs, and process optimization studies.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of glass fermenter systems and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate records, fermentation summaries, and inventory management.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
