Xogar Games is seeking an Unreal Developer Intern with a solid C++ foundation to join our development team for our AAA project. You will work alongside experienced developers and artists, contributing to gameplay systems, asset pipelines, and immersive experiences in Unreal Engine 5.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented and passionate Unreal Developer Intern with a solid understanding of C++ programming to join our development team. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced developers and artists, contributing to the creation and integration of game mechanics, asset pipelines, and immersive experiences for our AAA title.

This role offers hands-on experience in real-world game development and the opportunity to learn and grow within a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the integration of gameplay features and mechanics in Unreal Engine 5 using both Blueprints and C++.
• Support the implementation and optimization of game assets, visual effects, and environmental interactions.
• Collaborate with the design and art teams to ensure smooth implementation of assets and systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented C++ code for gameplay systems and tools.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues related to game development.
• Work on enhancing the performance and quality of game features.
• Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and contribute ideas for game improvements.

Required Skills & Tools:

• Game Engine: Unreal Engine 5 (Essential)
• Programming Languages: C++ (Good foundational knowledge required)
• Version Control Systems: Plastic SCM / Git / Perforce
• 3D Software (Basic understanding): Autodesk Maya / Blender / 3ds Max (for asset handling)
• Texturing (Basic understanding): Substance Painter / Substance Designer
• Visual Scripting: Familiarity with Unreal Blueprints
• Understanding of game development pipeline and real-time rendering.
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have:

• Understanding of multiplayer game development.
• Basic knowledge of shaders and materials in Unreal Engine.

Eligibility Criteria:
