We are seeking a Network Engineer

to oversee Optum networks and computer systems. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance and capacity of our computer systems, troubleshooting problems, and responding to network issues. You may also be required to configure system hardware and manage system backups.

Success in this role requires:

• Advanced knowledge of network deployment and infrastructure
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• The ability to work flexible hours
• Diagnosing and resolving network issues without causing extended downtime

Primary Responsibilities:

Comply with employment terms, company policies, and directives, including potential transfers, team changes, work shifts, and flexible work arrangements. The company may vary or rescind these policies at its discretion.

Required Qualifications:

• Level 2 engineering
• Understanding of routing protocols e.g., BGP and OSPF
• Proficiency with Ethernet IP, MPLS, QoS, and L2/L3 VPN
• Experience with setup, operation, and maintenance of network equipment across core, metro, and access layers
• Proficiency with software for storage and archival of test results
• Professional or vendor qualifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Ethernet & Wi-Fi
• Experience installing and implementing various network devices
• Ability to work closely with network engineers for proper operation, maintenance, and restoration of high-speed data networks
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in service restoration for complex faults (technology & solution based) with at least 2 years of relevant experience
