What success looks like in this role:
This role’s primary responsibility will be to work on customer projects related to Windows, VMWare, and Citrix technologies. The ideal candidate will possess additional skills with VMWare, Active Directory, SCCM, and WSUS, but not all are required. The role requires multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with server and application upgrades, data center migration, and transition is preferred. Key characteristics include effective communication, instructional ability, documentation skills, teamwork, process orientation, a positive attitude, and quick learning ability. Unisys offers training opportunities and encourages ongoing professional development. This role involves deploying operational standards and handing off to an Operations Team for ongoing support. Flexibility and extended operational support may be required.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Experience with server and application upgrades and/or data center migration
  • Knowledge of VMware vSphere infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO
  • Responsibility for supporting the functionality and efficiency of Windows Server 2012/2016
  • Delivering third-level remote hardware, software, and OS support services to resolve enterprise systems, network, and application issues
  • Performing remote packaging and installation of applications to users, servers, and Citrix VMs
  • User administration and server monitoring responsibilities
  • Daily server checks, log analysis
  • Incident investigation and advanced troubleshooting with technical solutions
  • Resolving incidents using documented procedures
  • Executing complex changes according to implementation plans
  • Coordinating critical customer issues and new system implementations
  • Relaying alerts and status updates to clients and management
  • Providing referrals and dispatches to ensure service levels and requirements are met
  • Preparing technical documentation and ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Potentially developing and conducting user and technical training
  • Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL processes
  • Leading small project teams (preferred)
  • Additional experience in managing enterprise Citrix infrastructure (preferred but not required): XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, App-V, NetScaler
