• Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills; capable of handling complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite commercial insurance proposals including Property, Engineering, Liability, Marine, and other lines.
• Evaluate risk exposures, analyze financial and operational data, and determine coverage terms and pricing.
• Liaise with insurers to negotiate quotations, terms, and conditions for clients.
• Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal underwriting guidelines.
• Provide technical underwriting support to Sales and Business Development teams.
• Review policy wordings and endorsements, ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with insurers and internal stakeholders.
• Handle complex and high-value cases independently.
• Support the Claims team with underwriting insights when required.
