Job summary

Media.net is seeking a UI Designer to turn product and business requirements into polished digital experiences for mobile, web and desktop. You will work with product managers and engineers to take ideas from concept to production, balancing user needs with technical constraints and business goals.

Key responsibilities include creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity designs, building scalable UI patterns, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience designing digital products.
• Strong experience designing mobile and desktop interfaces.
• Strong UI design skills including typography, layout, color and spacing.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear user flows.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity UI designs in Figma or similar tools.
• Understanding of design systems, reusable components and scalable UI patterns.
• Knowledge of how digital products are built and working with developers.
• Excellent attention to detail on states, transitions and micro‑interactions.

Job description

We’re looking for a UI Designer who can turn product and business requirements into clear, intuitive and polished digital experiences.

You’ll work closely with designers, product managers and engineers to take ideas from early concepts through to production; balancing user needs, visual quality, technical constraints and business goals.

What you'll do:

• Design intuitive, polished interfaces for mobile, web and desktop products, from early concepts through to final UI.
• Translate product and business requirements into thoughtful design solutions, understanding both the user problem and the technical context behind it.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs to explore and communicate ideas.
• Build and maintain scalable UI patterns and components, contributing to a consistent design system across products.
• Design for different screen sizes, platforms and states, thinking through responsive behaviour, edge cases and accessibility.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and other Design team members to ensure designs are both desirable and technically feasible.
• Work with engineers during implementation, providing clear design specifications, assets and interaction details, and helping maintain quality through development.
• Use user feedback, product data and usability testing to validate ideas and continuously improve the experience.
• Present your work clearly, explain your design decisions, and be open to feedback and iteration.
• Use AI as a design collaborator leveraging AI across ideation, exploration, prototyping and refinement to explore ideas faster and improve design quality.
• Experiment with agentic design workflows, using AI agents and emerging tools to automate repetitive tasks, explore design directions, generate prototypes and accelerate the journey from idea to implementation.

What we're looking for:

• 2-4 years of experience designing digital products, ideally across mobile and web.
• Strong experience designing mobile and desktop interfaces; familiarity with responsive web design is a plus.
• Strong command of UI design, interaction design, visual hierarchy, typography, layout, colour and spacing.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear user flows and simple, effective experiences.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma or similar tools.
• Understanding of design systems, reusable components and scalable UI patterns.
• A good understanding of how digital products are built, including platform constraints and working with developers.
• Strong attention to detail; from the overall experience down to states, transitions, spacing and micro-interactions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, collaborative environment, balancing multiple inputs and iterating quickly.
• Hands-on curiosity with AI-powered design tools, with an understanding of how AI can augment the design process from ideation and research through prototyping and iteration.
• Interest in agentic workflows and AI-native design, exploring how designers can direct AI systems to generate, test and iterate experiences while applying strong design judgement and craft.
